1. Banking Awareness is King: IBPS PO Mains has dedicated Banking & Economy awareness section. Read banking news daily via The Hindu Business Line or Economic Times. 2. Data Interpretation: DI is the most important topic in Mains. Practice complex DI sets (caselet, missing data table) daily. 3. Reasoning – Puzzles: Seating arrangements and complex puzzles dominate Prelims and Mains. Solve 10 puzzles daily. 4. English – Reading Comprehension: Practice 2 RC passages daily. Focus on inference-based questions in Mains. 5. Prelims Strategy: Attempt English first (easiest to score), then Reasoning, then Maths. Don't attempt all questions – focus on accuracy. 6. Mains Strategy: Banking Awareness and English are scoring sections. Score 80%+ in these to compensate if Maths is tough. 7. Interview Preparation: Read current banking news for the last 6 months. Know your hobbies, hometown, and graduation subject well. Practice with mock interview videos. 8. Target Score: In Prelims, aim for 70+ out of 100. In Mains, aim for 145+ out of 200.
